Description:  Electric Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of former-Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4935, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during March of 1943, rated at 4,620 horsepower, preserved, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. Note the little plaque affixed by "The Friends of the GG-1" in Washington, DC, on 15 May 1977. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded.

Description:  Electric Action. Here is an original 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland, c. 1984. Shown here is ex-Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4890, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata in March of 1940, rated at 4,620 horsepower, owned successively by the Penn Central Railroad and Amtrak, donated initially to the B&O Railroad Museum, then transferred to the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay (Wisconsin) in 1995.
