Description:  A CSX clerk in Chevy carryall 14164 was picking up a crew off of a westbound transfer run at Central Avenue, near the east end of the Huey P. Long Bridge. The train was powered by UP SD40-2 units 4143, 3204, 4189 and 3269, and was on its way from the CSX’s GENTILLY YARD to the UP’s AVONDALE YARD.

Title:  DUPX Tank Car 8101
Description:  DuPont 10,000-gallon tank car DUPX 8101 was used to transport hydrocyanic acid/hydrogen cyanide (HCN), code 1051. During the late 20th century, HCN cars were painted in this distinctive scheme so they could be easily identified. The car had been built in September 1959 and was stenciled with a LD LMT (with an asterisk) of 55,755 pounds and a LT W T of 78,100. The car was in New Orleans, on a transfer run from CSXT to the Union Pacific.

Title:  NdeM SD40-2 13073
Description:  Between June and December 1988 VMV Enterprises in Paducah, Kentucky rebuilt 18 old SD units into SD40-2's for the National Railways of Mexico. The first four were remanufactured from former Missouri Pacific SD40's, while all of the others were originally SD45's from the Southern, N&W, SP and UP. All of the units were interchanged from the Illinois Central Gulf/IC to the Southern Pacific at New Orleans, on their way from Kentucky to Mexico. NdeM 13073 was originally N&W 1796, and was photographed at Mays Yard.
