BAMMM!
Title:  BAMMM!
Description:  When it's cloudy I will shoot in black and white as a last ditch effort as to not shooting at all. So sticking with that practice, I was going to shoot this train but suddenly the sun came out. And so it goes. The CAGY Greenville Switcher heads out from the Port Of Greenville running wrong hood forward.

Why I Hate Cloudy Days
Title:  Why I Hate Cloudy Days
Description:  Without the clouds, I wouldn't have had the glare that's in this image. I post this as an example of why it's important to keep the sky out of your image period on a cloudy day. Hard to do in the near treeless Delta though. CAGY Job 48 is seen here rounding the sharp but well open curve at Baird, MS.

Night Moves
Title:  Night Moves
Description:  Just before midnight, the CAGY Columbus Switcher is building a train in Columbus, MS under HWY 82. Two venerable EMD's hold the job down tonight. In years past this was a day time job and it was held down for almost 30 years by an ex SOU GP9, the CAGY 7o2. But times have changed. Still yet though, tried and proven EMD's still toil along this job. Normally for me, the last hour spent before bedtime consist tieing up loose ends before knocking off and heading to bed. Tonight was a different story. I got the luxury of hearing the sounds of EMD 645's before heading back to the motel before bedtime. Best frickin' lullaby ever.......

CAGY 2777
Title:  CAGY 2777
Description:  As odd as odd can be...for me. This view would not have been possible a little over a year ago. With G&W unfortunately now owning the Columbus & Greenville Railway along with the Alabama Gulf Coast Railroad, such insanity is now possible. The tracks are those of the BNSF. The AGR has a local that works Columbus, MS and Aliceville, AL which is AGR 110. The job had been based out of Aliceville but perhaps due to the crude oil train derailment a few days before, AGR 110 got started in Columbus and todays power comes in the form of CAGY 2777. The "Triple Seven" is seen here at 2nd Ave Columbus passing the old BN shack heading for the Eka/Akzo Nobel plant at Whitbury, MS which is roughly 5 miles south of Columbus

CAGY 2777
Title:  CAGY 2777
Description:  The CAGY 2777 finds itself pimped out on former SLSF, BN & BNSF iron that is now owned by the AGR whom itself, like the CAGY, is unfortunately owned by Genessee & Wyoming Inc. It is seen here heading to the Eka/Akzo Nobel plant at Whitbury, MS which is 5 miles south of Columbus.
