Title:  M-K-T Depot in Sedalia, MO
Description:  Beautifully planned in 1894 and constructed in 1894, this depot served not only as a railroad depot for the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad but also had a formal dining room and all-night lunchroom and a full second floor for local railroad officials. These are features usually found in much larger stations.

Description:  Trackside shows the massive brick and rock-faced limestone stretching out along the track. The octagon shaped end nearest us housed the 3 sided ticket office on the east and an open passenger pavilion on the west. The entire structure is slightly over 200 feet long.

Description:  Another view of trackside down from the depot. The depot was abandoned in 1983 with the title going to the Missouri Dept of natual Resources. Full restoration began in 1998 and the Katy Trail over abandoned right of way was also in progress.

MP Caboose #12099
Title:  MP Caboose #12099
Description:  Looks fitting as it sits on the tracks near the restored M-K-T depot. It was built in 1929 by Texas & Pacific shops in Marshall, TX. It carried a range of numbers over time - #13099, 2535, 2318 & 2220 and an example of nearly 500 cabooses that were rebuilt in the MoPac shops here in Sedalia, MO.

Title:  MP Caboose #13757
Description:  Another caboose on the M-K-T depot property is this Missouri Pacific caboose #13757 built in the MP shops at DeSoto, Missouri but finished at the MP Sedalia Shops in October of 1977. The shot bay window transfer caboose served until retirement in June of 1986. It is still ongoing restoration.
