Album Info:Finally obtained my drivers license. So what better way to spend my first day as a fully licensed driver than go train watching! Today I went over to Leipsic, OH to follow the Ohio Rail Experience's DT&I North Fall Excursion on the DT&I with special guest SARM 800 on the head end. After that I spent some time along NS and CSX. Enjoy!

Today the ORE is running their DT&I North SPecial on the IORY, so I decided I might as well go have a look at that for myself. This year, SARM 800 is leading the trian, the second time Ill be able to photograph that engine this year. I followed the Fostoria District to Leipsic and also got some trains. First off was this NS 234 passing by Casad.

Description:  After the pig trains the Fostoria District got quiet so it was a direct shot into Leipsic. Sure enough there the trian was boarding passengers. Quick went and got a single shot of it sitting with the DT&I searchlight in the background, then I headed to my first spot.

After this shot the camera was full and I had to go back to Wauseon to buy another. Unforunately that is how it goes sometimes, but I had originally planned to cut off my chase here anyway.

Description:  After picking up a new SD Card and missing several NS trains, I decided to go back to Delta because the Delta Turn Power was parked by NorthStar, and todays power featured an IORY Tunnel Motor and an IORY SD50. IORY 4070 doesnt have much longer for this world, so it was worth making the drive back.

Description:  After NS 205, things began to quiet down so I figured it was a good time to cut it and go straight down to CSX at Defiance. However, no visit to Defiance is complete without a visit to the Napoleon Defiance and Western, and now since PREX 3001 and PREX 2026, both ATSF Bluebonnets are on the property, that made the visit more exciting. Ended up getting a shot of PREX 105 first, the Gettysburg GP9 highood.
