Album Info:A nice mix of CP, CN and Trillium Railways action around Welland and Fort Erie. Unfortunately, just three days after the last pic, on January 29, 2022, I was in a serious car accident, resulting in a badly broken wrist. So not one single photo for almost 6 months.

Description:  With nothing going on in Welland, I cruised down to Fort Erie, hoping to catch CP Train 255 at some point. But after a lengthy wait, I made a pass by the Niagara Railway Museum yard. What railfan could resist pondering over this ancient INCO #6 - 6-Ton, 2-Foot gauge International Nickle engine built by VULCAN Iron Works in 1937!!

Description:  Just around the corner from the Trillium Railways yard, at CP Welland yard I caught these two road freight units uncouple from a long string of empty autoracks, switch over to the yard tracks and disappear into the yard. I didn't know it at the time, but I would see these two big red locos much later in the afternoon coming into Fort Erie.

Description:  Complete surprise was this train, I think it's CP 254, rolling through Fort Erie enroute to the USA. Nothing on my radio scanner. I was totally expecting a CP train to come the other way, and only noticed this train when it was already nearing the bridge, and literally right on top of me.

Description:  Not a lot of trains, and not much sunshine, but still...CN Train 562 had me hopping after I first bumped into it delivering freight cars to Trillium Railways small yard at Feeder Road. After trying (and failing) to catch up to Trillium's old ALCO #108 at Dain City switching a really long string of tank cars, I set myself up to catch 562 coming back, with pics at Brookfield Road grade crossing, and White Road grade crossing.

Description:  CP Train 143 is a light engine move to the USA today. It caught me by surprise, even though I picked it up on my radio scanner, and I missed it on my first pass. I finally got ahead of it at Wilhelm Road overpass, for a nice coming and going view of the train. If you look really close on the horizon, you can see the two towers of the extant Dain City lift bridge that still carries Trillium Railways' trains over the old Welland Canal.
