Title:
MILW 4-6-4 #125 "Baltic" - Milwaukee Road
Description:
Not as famous and stylish as the later streamlined 4-6-4 "Baltics (MILW name for Hudsons), this Baldwin built 4-6-4 was still a major player in passenger service as seen here with the long string of passenger cars behind the lone engine. Delievered in November of 1929 as MILW 6400, it was renumbered to MILW 125 in 1938. After 25 years of service, the loco was retired and scrapped in June of 1954. Specs - class F-6, 79" drivers, 225 psi boiler pressure, 26x28" cylinders, engine wt of 37,850 lb. No date or photographer was listed for the photo so an approximate date was used.
