Description:
Originally built by the Brooke Locomotive Works before the Alco merger for the Eastern Ry of Minnesota, this 4-8-0 Mastodon type twelve wheeler was soon absorbed by the Great Northern. Specs - class G-2, 55" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 19x32" cylinders, engine wt 176,000 lb, tractive effort of 35,706 lb. The class had a 30 year service to GN before retirement.
