The 2018 BNSF Railway California Division Christmas Train has crossed over to the other main in order to get around this train as it heads from Barstow to Victorville to unload a few volunteers, and then head back to San Bernardino for the night. As for the UP intermodal train, radio chatter indicated that a transient had tried to hop on one of the engines as the train was slowly moving, and wasn't successful - or seriously injured.
