Title:  BNSF 5320
Description:  BNSF 5320 sits parked with a westbound sand train at the sanding factory in Rochelle. This would be the last train I would see here before we continued to head south. Twelve trains altogether (would be 13 but one got eclipsed on UP). Not a bad day at all! Got to meet some new railfans. Always fun to find new people that enjoy the same hobby you do! We continued to head south from here and got back on US 24 off of I39 at El Paso. By this point, most of the snow had melted except for the big piles. For as must snow as it dumped it sure didnt last long! We decided to call it a night there and got a room at the Days Inn. We ate supper at Hardees that night. Tomorrow will be the journey home. Sure has been a fun and crazy trip!

Description:  We continued south towards Illinois on I39, going over the top of a CP train at Columbia and a Wisconsin Southern Train at Janesville. We didnt stop for either of them. Man I sure hope I do see a WSOR again soon, lucky enough to have seen that one. That would have been my first WSOR train. Anyways we got into Illinois and to make up for missing those trains I spent a couple hours at the park in Rochelle and watched the UP and BNSF action pass while my aunt, brother, and friend went shopping and did other stuff. The first train was UP 7937 leading a westbound intermodel with 3 UPs in trail.

Description:  Today began the drive home portion of the trip. We would go back almost the same way we came from except we would continue east on US 24 when we got to Logansport. The first thing we saw train-wise though was the NW caboose that is on display in the Forrest, IL community park.

Description:  When we got to Gillman, there was a southbound CN train crossing US 24 that had 2 CN units leading. We crossed the tracks and the dispatcher had set a train to come north. So, I was able to convince Aunt Susie to let us eat at the Dennys in Gillman. I waited and caught the CN train, never did hear its symbol, with a CN SD60 leading an ex-CSX GECX leaser, a BCOL, another CN SD60, and a CN GEVO.

Description:  As luck would have it, the dispatcher set the signal green right behind the manifest, and about 30 minutes later along came the northbound AMTK 390, the Saluki. Three Chargers on this vacation! Train was running about 2 hours behind though. After I caught this I went back and ate my hamburger at Dennys, which was giagantic may I add, and we continued east following the TPW.

Description:  The first TPW train we finally ran into was backing its train down into the small yard at Sheldon. I had to take it from the road because we had to continue on our way because my aunt had to go to a meeting at home at 4 PM. Not sure what either of the engines are. Appears 1 is a SD40-2 and the other is a GP38-2.
