AT&SF Drovers Caboose D935 at Lakeview, Arkansas on November 5, 1989, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This car was a fishing cabin located on the White River. It departed for places unknown a few years later. I could find no information about this particular car, however one source indicates that similar cars were built as Dovers cars to transport cowboys riding with stock shipments. Later some cars were converted to baggage/coach configuration and used as branch line waycars ( caboose ) and renumbered into the 2000 number series. |
