ICG Office and Freight House         
This was the Illinois Central Gulf's former Gulf, Mobile & Ohio office and freight house along 22nd Avenue in Meridian, Mississippi. It had been built by the Mobile & Ohio in 1903 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on 18 December 1979. The building was slated for restoration, but was burned by vandals in 1994 and subsequently demolished.

Michael Palmieri General This building burned down before the KCS came to Meridian. I think the current KCS office is right on the other side of where this was, at the corner of 22nd Avenue and A Street. 1/8/2010 10:24:16 AM
