Union Pacific No. 4455 is a class S-6 0-6-0 switcher built by the Lima Locomotive Works of Lima, Ohio in 1920 for the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) where it worked as a yard goat. It was later sold to Monolith Portland Midwest Company, Laramie, WY, in 1949. The Monolith Portland retired #4455 in 1970 and donated it to the Colorado Railroad Museum where it was placed on static display today. Rail fan Jim Lockart took this color slide on his visit in 1980. |
