| This is looking north/north west from the SE side of the CSL yard. Looking at the coils in the car, the steel structure in the back ground above and behind the second coil from the far right is the remnant of the B&O bridge over the Calumet River that was hit by a ship and never replaced in the 70's. Then comes the old NYC lift (stays up, track is gone), and then the PRR bridge (in the down position) which is NS' main route. Thanks to RWG for details regarding the bridges. |
