BNSF 8111
BNSF 8111 huddled back in the power corral under blazing noon day sun... wait, thats a yard lamp creating the glow in the skin. Its stinking dark. And raining like gangbusters. Dang this is stupid. But note the newly placed super-long by-pass trackage in the foreground. In another nine days itll be ballasted and ready for use running the entire length of the mid-yard and north-yard sections connecting up near the Lake Shore Drive-Fruit Valley Road bridge and leading past the new turn-table, under the 39th Street bridge, service/top-off area, power corral, and finally ending up near Vancouver Center Office (I believe) right across the street from the Vancouver Amtrak Station. It follows a "fun" looping and rolling path following some of the contours of the cropped hillside, ducking in and out of the bridges and around existing trackage. Should be quite the sight to behold once the satellite views/maps are updated. Around here, betting has commenced among the family: active passing lane, super-long service track, precursor to a new maintenance area - see your local bookie to place your wagers (where allowed by law. Otherwise do what everyone else does and use the web to access various Caribbean... I mean, dont do it, its illegal.)
