Not the one youre thinking of. This is the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania, looking from high above Pine Creek in Colton Point State Park. The wide, snow covered path along the left bank of the creek was the NYC line from Lyons NY to Jersey Shore PA. Conrail pulled it up around 1994, by which time the only trains were Enola-Syracuse trains ENSY and SYEN, with occasionall extras. It was wonderfully scenic, but had virtually no traffic south of Wellsboro. |
