Tom Beckett General Two notable G's here. 4880 was one of two that still had keystones with the unit number on the nose(the other was 4883, its nose keystones lasted until it was retired, or very close). Both 4880 and 4883 retained their body stripe til the end in 1983. The 4876 behind it was the power on the Federal that ran away into Washington Union Station in January 1953. It was cut up into four or six pieces, depending on who is telling the story, taken to Altoona and rebuilt. 5/7/2018 5:03:48 AM
