NYC E7A #4003 - New York Central
By this time in its life, this EMD E7A unit is showing the rust, wear and lack of maintenance. #4003 was involved in a serious wreck near Conneaut, OH, on 3/27/1953. It was rebuilt by EMD into an E8A unit although not renumbered. Although the slides were marked April of 1975, I believe these may have been taken before the PC takeover. Robert M. Rose slide

Ethan Button General This unit is actually an e8, judging by the fan and exhaust placement on the roof. 9/9/2020 1:44:53 PM
