NYC 4020 & 4003 - New York Central         
Here is another shot of the EMD E7A units that were rebuilt to E8A's aftera wreck near Conneaut, OH, on 3/27/1953. Althought the Robert M. Rose slide is marked April of 1975, I believe this film roll was taken prior to the PC merger as none of the locos on the roll have any PC markings.

warren evans General Gary Great shot here is the truth About both of these. These two were wreck replacements both were built new as E8's. with 2250Hp. It is noted in NYCSHS roster Book as being both with 2250Hp. 1/19/2022 11:04:03 AM
warren evans General Gary Also I worked on these to while I was working Chicago, Ill and said on blue DOT Card 2250Hp. when both of became they were both classed as EP-22. not EP20. as everybody thinks. the original E7's 4003 & 4020 were just used as trade in credit 1/19/2022 11:09:38 AM
