| Date approximate. This small tower was on the north side of the Pennsylvania tracks between 5th and 6th streets. This view is looking northwest. The Vandalia station is just west of 6th street and a large brick control tower was nearby that controlled the district. I don't now what this small tower was for. It's a bit hard to read the sign, but near the three large tanks in the distance it says "F S" which was the F S service station at 6th and Main. |
