| Long before a GP38 loco carried the number "5579", this 4-6-2 Pacific built by the Grand Trunk shops in 1911 had the honor. It was originally GTR #202 (serial #1524, class K-3-b) but renumbered in 1923 as CN 5579. The loco was retired and scrapped in March of 1960. Unknown photographer |
