Here is a steam locomotive portrait of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6492, a J-1A (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during May of 1943 and retired in April of 1958 after just 15 years of revenue service. Note the trainphone apparatus on the tender's deck. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (#21 of 72) |
