Ames Monument
Not a tourist line or a museum, but I didn't know where else to put this image. This is the Ames Monument, designed by architect Henry Hobson Richardson to honor the Ames brothers, financiers of the initial construction of the Union Pacific Railroad. It stands at the highest point on the original transcontinental route, at 8,247 feet above sea level.
