Duplexes. Here is a duplicate 35mm B&W slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Englewood, Illinois, c. 1947. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6110, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during April of 1942 and retired in December of 1953 after just 11 years of revenue service. In this context, it's just departed the Englewood Station with an eastbound passenger train. |
