A new Tastykake baking facility was built at the old Navy Yard complex (Philadelphia Naval Business Center) which contributed to Tastykake filing bankruptcy afterwards due to operating both facilities during the move and the rising costs of ingredients. They were eventually sold to Flowers Foods in 2011 and continue to operate at the new facility.

Under Conrail, the connecting track was installed so through trains enter into Norristown to connect with the ex-Reading RR Harrisburg main at CP Norris. Only a once a day local uses the old cutoff, where the local is sitting, west of CP King to service the Arcelor Mittal facility in Coatsville.
